ON A MISSION TOWARD TRANSCENDENT ART

SINCE 1979

Beauty alone is not enough—we crave what moves us. That’s what I try to capture in paint. For me, it’s never just about landscapes or seascapes. It’s about emotion, transcendence, and the way light carries us away - beyond ourselves . . .

“My art is more about feeling than anything —letting light speak, letting the land breathe, letting emotion take form. I’ve always felt that a painting should touch more than the eye or intellect—it should touch the soul.”

Over the past four decades, my work has found its way into galleries, private collections, and even into UK art education, where it’s studied for its quality of light. But more important than recognition is what happens when someone stands in front of a canvas and feels a shift inside—an opening, a resonance.

It also says the art is working. I believe that the art we surround ourselves with is primarily a refelection of who we believe ourselves to be. If people are seeing something different in my work each day, it means they are willing to look closer at themselves too. That's always a good thing.
